the drive is short enough that it isnt long before he's leaving the car to the valet and they're in the elevator going up to the room. trust it takes every bit of control in gladio's body to not have his way with ignis in said elevator. but, he waits until they're closed in the room — literally just inside the door. gladio backs ignis against the wall, presses their bodies flush, and simply teases at a kiss that never fully connects. )

( because if it's left up to gladio, he's going to scoop ignis up and carry him to the bed. a bed, by the way, that actually has rose petals scattered over it and there's about a dozen (battery operated bc fire safety, yo) candles lit around the bedroom. but, it's ignis' birthday. he gets to pick. )
