[Noct emerges a little from his little cocoon of sheets so he can watch Ignis undress with quiet appreciation. It's always a show well-worth watching, to see his normally super covered and buttoned up advisor lose his clothing, even if he decided against stripping everything off like Noct did.]
Pure body heat warms up the sheets faster.
[That's his entire excuse. As Ignis comes closer in the darkness of the room, he gives him a scan, trying to pick out signs that the man may be more frazzled or worn out than usual. The dip in the mattress from Ignis' knee already has Noct rolling his body towards him.]
Anyway, this way I have less laundry for you to do.
[Ignis wonders if Noct can even see anything in this dimly lit room, but- he is a cat in his soul, he probably can. He offers a smile when he catches his gaze and finally slips under the covers, joining him in the warmth they provide.]
I am not sure that is entirely true.
[But he's not going to question it further. Besides, Noctis doesn't even do his own laundry. In any case, he gets pulled in Ignis' embrace after he leaves glasses on the side table. Ignis is a bit on the cool side, mostly because of the room, but with Noct in his arms, he warms up fast.]
[Noct wraps himself around Ignis as many ways as he can, tangling arms and legs together and cuddling close. He gets one hand up underneath the tank top to smooth over the other man's chest while the other settles in the hollow of his back.
There's a sleepy kiss smeared against the underside of Ignis' chin.]
It's hard to stay grumpy and in a bad mood when Noctis gets cuddly and clingy like this. His skin feels nice under his fingers as he wraps his hands around him, running them up and down his back. Ignis sighs when kisses are peppered over his chin and neck and he tilts his head to briefly peck Noct's lips.]
I do, in fact, feel way warmer. And better. [He nudges Noct's nose with his own playfully,] As always, you lift my mood up.
[They nuzzle noses like kittens for a bit, Noct humming with satisfaction that Ignis is content and in his arms and his bed where he should be. He's a boy of simple pleasures. He's happiest when there's the possibility of sleep curled around his favourite people.]
Good. My hypothesis is panning out.
[He yanks the covers up over both of them, creating a cozy little cave. Hands stroke lightly over Ignis' skin but keep their wandering above the waist for now. He suspects the man needs sleep over sex but if more thorough relaxation techniques become necessary, Noct's totally willing to make that sacrifice.]
[There's no other place Ignis would rather be it but Noct's apartment, bed, always somewhere close to him. He had always gravitated towards him before they even got like this. Ignis was never sure why, but he didn't question it, because it seemed pointless.
He helps Noct out a bit to get them covered, making sure the blankets are tucked in nicely around Noct's back. He will definitively be up to some ~play~ time after he had a nap; his body is actually feeling really heavy right now. Once Noct's settled in properly, Ignis doesn't move a muscle, feeling himself relax into Noct's arms.]
I wish it were just one thing, [he says quietly, after a soft sigh.] It is just a bunch of small things, piling up over time. [Ignis presses a short kiss to Noct's lips,] Nothing I can't handle- just a poor timing is all.
[Snuggled up close like this, he can feel the gradual lassitude in Ignis' body and knows that sleep won't be far behind. He'll have to sneak Ignis' phone out of his jacket pocket and put it on silent mode for a while, plus send out some strongly worded suggestions that various people leave his advisor alone for the next eight hours so the man won't be tempted to work.
He's done it before, although not without a resultant scolding when Ignis finally catches up on his text messages.]
Whether you can handle it or not, I feel like I gotta point out that you're allowed to take a break once in a while. [He nuzzles just under the other man's chin.] In fact, breaks are highly encouraged.
[And this is why Ignis hasn't gone mad until now- Noctis secretly taking care of him behind Ignis' back. He will grumble when he finds out about it later, but he will be very grateful. A warm feeling of being taken care of, regardless of how small it seems, it lingers in his chest every time, for days. Like some kind of fuel.
The messages, however, will always get a scolding though. Noct, that's rude!]
I am aware of that, Noct. I just... fall into a routine. [One that doesn't have breaks included most of the time.] But I suppose I should incorporate more breaks like this, with you in my arms. I am but a fool not doing so.

[Which is why Ignis indulges him in these 'mini-breaks' when Noct presses the issue, and maybe he needs to start pressing the issue more if it's going to get him snuggled up in bed with his lover like this.]
Pressing the issue all the time would be bad idea, but if it's done at the right moment, Ignis will yield without much complaint (except initial one, that's just his thing). He loves holding Noctis more than anything in this world, and if he can find an excuse outside of 'it's evening, they need to sleep', he'll happily do it.]
I can't disagree with that. But at times I need it.
[And then suffer from crashes. Thank you for being there, Noct.]
My coffee pot is always open to you. Mostly 'cause I don't really know how to work it myself...
